Television has changed because of the way we live! Because people wanted more educational tv and felt that, the most important thing that children needed was, to be taught the art of discovery. Society has changed since entering the new century. We feel that everything should be cleaner, healthier and more educational. People don’t want to put up with bad television programming and that is why there are many businesses today, that cater to that desire for knowledge. For example, we now have discovery for kids, both on tv and also discovery for children specializing in educational toys for children. So much has our need for knowledge grown that the media has marketed to it : We can find examples of that marketing in products like the history channel, and the animal planet channel, and of course the father of all educational channels, the discovery chanel. Even the advertisements on these channels are geared toward people that are adventurous and who desire knowledge, as in the land rover discovery ads, and the discovery toys ads. We even want or recreational time to be educational, fun and full of activities, otherwise why would there be so many eco tour lines available to us today.
