What is a dietitian? A dietitian is a person that deals with health and nutrition of individuals.Just as a doctor sees to our medical needs, a dietitian helps us with our nutrition. You go to adietitian for a variety of needs. you may need help with weight loss, or you may just have health care needs and want to start preventive measures against diabetes and high blood pressure. A dietician, or nutricionist will teach you about health and nutrition, and how to eat right for your body type, and for your own personal mental health. A nutritionist will also put you on a nutrition program with certain recommended fitness program. He or she will explain about nutrition supplements and how they work with your body. In essence a health program designed for you by a nutritionist can be the best thing you ever do. Even if you don't need to lose weight, it is sometimes beneficial to visit a nutritionist to make sure you are getting the right vitamins and minerals for you, and to make sure that you are eating right to prevent other chronic deseases. Even some people that suffer from allergies visit the nutritionist to change their eating habits and avoid those foods that make their allergies break out.
