As many of us may be aware Delaware is a state situated on the Atlantic Coast and is the second smallest state in the entire USA. But strangely the University of Delaware is a very large and renowned university. The University of Delaware is ranked 71st by US News in the category of ‘Top National Universities.’

The Delaware Valley is a term often used by the media to refer, though inappropriately, to the metropolitan area centered on the city of Philadelphia. This is presumably because the Delaware river flows through this area. As a matter of fact, the Delaware river extends more than 100 miles to the north of Philadelphia. The Delaware Valley is composed of several counties in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.

Delaware County is of course a county located in the State of New York with an estimated population of 48,055.

Corporations doing business in Delaware must register with the Delaware Secretary of State to do business in the state.

It is interesting to know that more than half of the Fortune 500 companies are incorporated in Delaware. Businessmen flock to Delaware to incorporate their businesses because it is cheap and if you do not conduct business in Delaware, you are not required to pay Delaware corporate taxes.

Delaware – you must have heard this name on Craigslist as well. I think job searchers across the globe who intend to work with Americans on a telecommute or freelance basis often look for the job opportunities in Delaware section of Craigslist.
