Dance classes are a great way to, not only stay in shape, meet people and have fun, but also discover new music. A great variety of dance lessons are offered. From classical ballet steps, to tap dancing, passing by ballroom dance, african dance, capoeira, break dancing or hip hop dance moves...Even some like bellydance or flamenco in which dance costumes are required and add to the exostism of the experience.
Dance music is also a good way to develop one's ear to music in general. Simple and repetitive, yet very motivating, dance music is perfect to teach kids the basics of rythm as it can be well used by anyone to learn how to dance or to practice some dance moves.
Speaking of which, many DVDs are now available on the market and cost a lot less than classes. Less elaborate, of course, but perfect for all of the curious and interested to learn how to dance, but not yet convinced enough; or the ones with a tighter budget but feel the need to move or to groove. DVDs also combine well with a busy train of life.
