I usually customize about everything I buy. It gives me a sense of accomplishment, it's as if you make your own product. Am I unusual or do most people customize? When you order something on line for example electronic equipment or when you go to a car dealership do you usually customize your order? Most people do!
Most people can customize just about anything today from the homes that custom home builders offer to the windows 2000 on your computer. Every business in Canada and the United States generally has a very good customer support service. Sometime last week I was flipping through the channels on television and for some reason a program about how Dell Corporation began came on. I watched the whole program and was fascinated to learn about how Dell began his company. How his whole corporation was founded mainly on one principle and that is: that the customer experience be a pleasant one. Because of pioneers like Dell and Gates I think most business today have realized how important customer service training is. Dell has been a pioneer in the computer industry insofar as its service to the customer. The reason they are so popular is that they have always listened to the customer with their moto of “make your own computer system” which gave new meaning of the personal computer to the end users and then they innovated the idea of the 24 hr over the phone technical support. These two changes in customer support caused other companies like IBM and HP to better their customer service departments.
