Country music finds its origin in traditional folk music, Celtic music, blues, gospel music, hokum and old-time music. It began in the Southern United States.

In Canada, every country music lover knows the Country Music Television (aka CMT) channel. It is possible to watch music videos, classic shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard and country award shows. The channel's official website offers you the possibility to watch any country music video. You can also learn about your favorite artists, consult the daily schedule, learn about different shows, etc.

Country radio stations in Canada include CISN Country, Country 95.3, Country 105 CKRY-FM, Kicx104 FM and KX-96. You can listen to all these station radios on the Internet. More over, there are many American radio stations that are available on the Internet.

As for the top 100 country songs, it is easy to find it on the Internet. There exist top 100 for the 1990s', the top 100 country love songs, the current top 100 country songs, the top 100 country songs of the 20th century, etc.
