One of the best things about being a kid is all they marvel comic books, in fact they continue to be fun even when you become an adult.
In the history of comic books, there are not very many companies that can compete with Marvel, except perhaps DC, but even DC doesn’t have the special charm of Marvel.
The comic book art of Marvel is much superior and the characters are much more believable. DC always comes off being a little bit too patriotic and simplistic, where as Marvel portrays the super heroes and villains as real people with real problems.
A perfect example of this is the fantastic four comics. Here you have a super powered team of costumed heroes that are beset with internal problems. Reed Richards, the incredible stretching man is always fighting with is wife, and the monstrous Thing is deeply insecure about his new physical form. It’s this fantastic reality that makes me grab up every copy of this comic book movies , all that for my comic book collection.
Its a great glimpse into human nature, and when you compare it to the two dimensional characters of DC, with their politically correct slogans and ever vigilant-virtue, you see why Marvel has taken over the comic book industry.
