Collectible plate

Collectible plates are my passion. I started as a young child when I was given my first collector plate. I believe it was a Norman Rockwell plate. I have since collected most of the Norman Rockwell collection. Collectors plates come in many sizes and styles most have some form of artwork done on them and are collected by many different types of people. Today I think I enjoy most collectable plates that have fantasy art done on them. As I have grown older so have my taste in Art and consequently my taste in collectors plates. My house is already full of collection plate but now I have started another passion, the collection of antique plates. As I was cleaning an older house that we had purchased I found an old trunk in the attic. When I opened it I found a whole set of blue willow plates. I took the plates and set them in a place of honour in our home. But I seemed to be fascinated with where the plates had come from and who had been their previous owner and how many dinners had they served. Because of this set of blue willow plates I have started looking at and collecting other antique plates. I have no idea where I am going to put all of these plates, but I am sure I will find a place for them. I do know that the set of blue willow and the special antique plate that my grandmother left me will always hold a special place in my heart.
