Chile is a country located in South America and is a country of amazing contrasts. Its capital city is Santiago. Its ribbon like shape makes it to have extreme weather patterns. It occupies a long narrow coastal strip situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountains. It borders Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and the Drake Passage to the South. It is one of the only two countries in South America that doesn’t share a border with Brazil. You have to travel to Chile to experience its extreme beauty. The northern part contains deserts which have vast mineral wealth. Southern Chilean part is forested and is suitable for agriculture.

Before the arrival of the Spanish northern Chile was ruled by the Inca empire while the central and southern part was inhabited by the Araucanians. Though Chile formally declared its independence in 1810 it was not until 1818 that it was completely recognized as independent.
Chile has great tourist attractions that frequently attract visitors. For instance the Equi valley in north central Chile is a great tourist attraction. Just take a Chile flight to experience the magnificence of such sites. Hotels in Chile also have modest rates as compared to Western Europe and the US and this will just make your stay memorable. Calling Chile should not be a problem as the call rates are cheap and quite reliable. Chile’s economy is that of a middle income country with a per capita income of $14000.
