Even though many people suffer from cancer, it is still a mysterious disease because the causes are not exactly known. Here are some facts about different types of cancer.

The liver cancer is divided in two categories: benign- malignant tumours. The most common type of benign liver cancer is hemangioma whereas the most common type of malignant tumor is called hepatocellular carcinoma. Usually, cancer does not start in the liver; it develops somewhere else before attacking the liver.

The colorectal cancer includes cancerous growth in the colon, rectum and appendix. It is the third most common form of cancer. Surgery is used to remove the cancer and it is generally followed by chemotherapy.

The causes of ovarian cancer are still unknown. It has been said that 1 woman out of 67 will suffer from ovarian cancer. Women with a history of breast cancer or family history of breat cancer can increase the risk of developing ovarian cancer. Certain genes can also be responsible of this disease.

Finally, a healthy lifestyle and environment are part of cancer prevention.
