Cancer is a disease that touches everyone in one way or another. Fundraisings are important because they enable people to raise money so that researchers have money to spend on searches to find a cure for cancer.

The Canadian Cancer Society collects donations through different fundraising activities. For example, each year, the Canadian Cancer Society organizes the Relay for Life, residential campaigns, Daffodil Days, Curl for Cancer, Cops for Cancer, Students Rally for Cancer, Honda Walk of Hope, Golf for Cancer and many more. Information are provided on the Canadian Cancer Society's official website. It is even possible to register on the Canadian Cancer Society website to be a volunteer in order to help to fight against this terrible disease.

There exist many different breast cancer charities in Canada because all of them focus on various facets of the disease: research, awareness, education, treatment and support for women with breast cancer. Breast cancer donations can be made on the Canadian Cancer Society website or on Rethink Breast Cancer website. The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Run for the Cure is a huge breast cancer fundraising event. The pink ribbon campaigns are also a good way to raise money. Finally, there is also the Breast of Canada calendar.
