Cancer is a devastating disease that touches indirectly or directly everyone in some ways. Since there are about 200 types of cancer, causes of cancer are multiple. It can be carcinogens, age, genetic make up, the immune system, diet, environment or viruses. As of yet, there is no cure for cancer that is 100% effective. But, researchers are trying to find treatments. It is said that, in England, a treatment that will totally cure cancer will appear within five years.
Symptoms of lung cancer include chronic cough, constant chest pain, hemoptysis, shortness of breath, recurring pneumonia or bronchitis, swelling of the neck and face, loss of appetite or weight loss and fatigue.
On the other hand, prostate cancer symptoms include a need to urinate frequently, mostly at night, difficulty starting urination, weak or interrupted flow of urine, painful or burning urination, difficulty in having an erection, painful ejaculation, blood in urine or semen and frequent pain in the lower back.
Finally, it is important that all women take a breast cancer test because breast cancer statistics estimate that 22,200 women in Canada will be diagnosed with breast cancer and that 5,300 of them will die of it. So, if you do not want to get breast cancer, think of having a test done.
