Even those of us with no interest in politic immediately know when there's an election ahead... television, radio and newspapers won't let us forget. Thanks heavens, the canadian election system is relatively simple when compared to what the Americans or the people of France have to go through. Half an hour of news everyday is usually enough to keep posted on the canadian election campaigns , and if we need more information, any canadian election survey will at least help us keep track of the general trend. Of course all our politically involved friends will try to convince us, one way or the other, and it sometimes lead to lively discussions. The ritual returns every four years or so; for a few weeks the canadian election campaign will be the topic of conversation around the coffee machine. We'll listen, consider, but like most we'll probably wait for the canadian election debate to make up our mind. Comes election day however, let's remember that what we take for granted is denied to many, and make sure we vote... keeping in mind that we'll have to live with the canadian election winners for quite a while.
