Bleeding is more commonly a result of serious injury requiring immediate attention to stop it and to treat the wound. Cuts from objects like knives and bruises from falls commonly bleed. It is important to immediately stop the bleeding as too much lose of blood can lead to fainting, unconsciousness and death. Some other types of bleeding are however a sign of health, like menstrual bleeding in women, which marks the end of reproductive cycle in a woman during which no conception occurred. When bleeding occurs though after menopause there may be cause for concern and may be a sign of other sickness like cancer of fibroid growths. Other causes of bleeding can be ectopic pregnancy ; a pregnancy outside the womb which then turns ruptures when there is no more room for the growing foetus and leads to bleeding. Constipation can lead to bleeding hemorrhoids. Bleeding in early pregnancy at times may occurs, it’s not entirely dangerous but it is not a good sign. In case of accidents it is important to check for internal bleeding as it could prove to be fatal and an operation is usually needed to correct it. Most internal bleeding occurs in the brain and the chest cavity.
