Thinking of going on a Euro-trip? Thinking of stopping in Spain? If so, make sure that you stop in lovely Seville. The city has existed for over 2000 years and has been inhabited by a variety of people. The architecture is breath taking as the influences of classic Moor/Spaniard styles mingle. There is something very romantic about Seville. Take a walk in any direction and you will be sure to discover many beautiful places.
The Cathedral, which took centuries to complete, is among one of the biggest in Europe. It is in the heart of old Seville and is a must-see whether you are religious or not. It spans a few blocks and is a magnificent structure to photograph.
Seville also boasts many great restaurants and activities. It has a very beautiful bull fighting arena with a regular program of bull fighting. Speaking of bulls, you might want to try the local delicacy of bull tail stew! Bull fighting (or eating bull tail) is not for you? One block west of the bull fighting arena is a famous Flamenco club that is moderately priced, serves great food, and is utterly entertaining!
If you are a sports enthusiast, you can also catch a soccer game while you are there! The local soccer team is very talented and makes for great match ups against other Spanish and European teams.
Let’s not forget about the “tapas”! Tapas are famous in Spain. They are a smorgasbord of different appetizers that can be eaten as a snack or combined to form an entire meal.
