Have you ever wondered what the history of the bandaid is? Earle Dickson was the inventor of the Bandaid. In 1920 when he was working for a company called johnson and johnson, his wife would continually cut herself while cooking. At the time you used gauze and a separate piece of adhesive tape for wound care. But he thought that something was needed to protect smaller wounds, so he cut a small piece of gauze and attach it to adhesive tape and covered it with crinoline to keep sterile, thus the first bandaid. During the 1920's it wasn't a very popular invention, they only sold about $3000.00 worth of bandaids. Today millions of bandaids are sold worldwide. You find them in all first aid kits, or any store that sells medical supplies. There are too many types of band aids to choose from: There are those made especially for children that have different types of clip art on them, so that kids find them more interesting to those that are made for special wound care in surgical procedures.

Can't think of a title for this at the moment. I always get cuts and bruises and things but never in obvious spots. I mean, if a person is going to cut their foot, wouldn't you think it would be the bottom of the foot. Or the palm of your hand instead of the back of it? I seem to have a talent for getting hurt. Blah.
And I really need some new Band-Aids. Riley used up all the monkey ones and I can't take much more pink!!!
