Owning an antique is like touching the past while reconnecting it to the future. There are many antique dealers in Canada and elsewhere, and you need to know what you want, and be able to have your item certified before you buy it. At the end, before it's time to pay, don't hesitate to negotiate the price down, it will usually work, and is almost expected by the seller. Antique jewelry is always appreciated because it somehow never goes out of style and usually increases in value as years go by. If it's antique silver you're into, you might want to clean it before you sell it as it has a way of getting darker with age. Antique books are a lot of people's favorite antique item to buy. Check the book carefully before you buy it as perhaps it wasn't stored properly and is on the verge of falling apart. For an antique chair, you can sit in it and imagine all the people that sat there before many years ago.

i got this "Knick Knack" at the salvation army. its from alice in wonderland. i love alice in wonderland just as much as the next guy but i remember one time in sixth grade, i got in trouble for inviting this girl my mom hated over to the house so my mom canceled my feild trip to the bronx zoo and she STILL sent me to school and my substitute teacher let me go down the library and pick out a movie. i picked alice in wonderland since i was the only one there and i didnt have to worry about being "gay" with my choice of movie haha
