Abstract art consists in paintings that do not depict objects in the real world, but instead show forms and colors. In the early 20th century, the term was used to describe Cubist and Futurist art. Now, the terms non-figurative art, non-objective art and non-representational art were created in order to avoid all possible ambiguity. Abstract arts include paintings, tattoos and sculptures.

Sharon Gee, Van Rensalar, Monica Aaroz and Paul Sinus are just a few of the modern abstract art painters. It is possible to see their work on the Internet and some of them are even on sale.

Many abstract artists are famous and their work is known throughout the world. Paul Cezanne, Paul Picasso, Wols, Frank Stella, Gerhard Richter are among the most famous 20th century abstract artists. As for Picasso, Braque, Mondrian and Rothko, they are considered to be the most popular abstract art artists.

Abstract art galleries usually display all abstract pieces of water from every type of paintings (for example abstract oil paintings) to sculptures. Both ancient and modern abstract art works are exposed. There galleries are found in many cities such as Paris, Vancouver, Toronto, New York and London.
